Activated carbon filters are used to remove suspended matter, hydrocarbons and other compounds from organic chemistry from the process water, pesticides, chlorine and odors and flavorings clean. This process, in which the filtering is carried out by the strong attraction of the carbon surface, is called adsorption.
Depending on the model, the central control unit automatically performs regular backwashing and cleaning so that the substances absorbed by the activated carbon rinsed and can be disposed of in the sewage. As a backwash-free solution, we also offer cartridge models, in which the change intervals for the activated carbon filter cartridge are between 3 and 6 months, depending on use.
Due to the large surface area of the activated charcoal, there is a potential for contamination, which means that follow-up disinfection (UV) is mandatory.
